Meet

Alanna Staltari (Platt)

Instrcutor, RYT-200

Alanna, originally from Philadelphia, moved to Pittsburgh in 2015 after graduating from Penn State. The first time she practiced yoga was in high school with her swim team to help ease their sore muscles from training for competition. What really resonated with her was the mental benefits of the practice helping to bring mindfulness both on and off the mat in her life, and she continued to explore yoga through many types of classes.

After years of deepening her own practice, Alanna set a goal to become a teacher and share the gift of yoga with others in the community. This led her to complete her 200 hour teacher training at the Om Lounge. Her approach to classes focuses on the balance between challenging flows and learning to quiet your mind. Through her vinyasa flow she encourages her students to find what feels best for their bodies and be present on their mats.

Outside of the studio Alanna works as a Buyer, enjoys playing guitar, hiking, traveling, and trying out all the Pittsburgh restaurants.
