Founder & Creative Director of Om Lounge, Suzanne Nagel has been practicing yoga for almost 20 years. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, she worked in television news and marketing before making the transition to full time yoga teacher. Suzanne completed her 200 hour yoga certification and then began her advanced training taking continuing education in Venice, California with Kate Duyn and Mary Dana Abbott. Suzanne is currently studying her 300 hour advanced training with Faith Hunter at Embrace Yoga in Washington DC. Known for sequencing creative classes, Suzanne has a knack for bringing soulfulness and insight to her teaching and yet her inner feistiness and playfulness are always present. In addition to thousands of hours teaching in the studio, she has taught yoga retreats in Tulum, Mexico and many yoga workshops as well as Continued Education workshops for Yoga teachers. Suzanne's love for yoga is undeniable and led her to create The Om Lounge Yoga & Wellness studio.
Alexi was lucky enough to discover yoga at the sweet age of sixteen, when her friends thought it would be something fun to try. From that very first class, she was hooked. A dancer her entire life, the fluid movement of vinyasa flow resonated with her, and also built strength in her body and mind that she didn’t know she needed. As her love and passion grew and she began a full time career in finance, her yoga practice became even more important. Alexi decided that she wanted to share her love of yoga. She took the leap and went through 200 hour teacher training in 2014. Alexi is known for challenging classes, moving through poses that are thoughtfully connected, with arm balances and peak poses always incorporated. In addition to years of studio classes, Alexi is a returning instructor of The Om Lounge training program. She has also taught at yoga retreats in Tulum, Mexico, as well as yoga festivals and various workshops in Pittsburgh.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Leslie has been active her entire life. Staying physically fit has always been a priority, but she found yoga at time when she longed for a creative outlet that balanced the mental and physical aspects of overall health. When she wandered into a yoga studio, it was the attention to the fluid yoga breath and focus on lengthening muscles with purpose and direction that really attracted her to the practice. The idea that yoga is a lifelong practice that changes everyday continues to inspire her as a teacher and a student. Leslie felt the call to share her passion for this practice and completed her 200 hour Teacher Training in 2016. Since then, Leslie has been cultivating her unique style. Leslie's love of music has molded her teaching style into a new and exciting experience. She takes pride in cultivating her playlists that enhance the challenging sequences focusing on strength and extension.
A few years ago Eva retired from a 15 year career as a ballerina to have her son. It was in her dancing years that she found yoga as a way to maintain the mind, body and spirit. Yoga became her refuge and soon overpowered her first love of dance. Eva became a Licensed MassageTherapist and trained with The Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy. She received her 200 hour-RYT Yoga teacher training from The Om Lounge, and The Asheville School of MassageTherapy & Yoga is where she gained her knowledge of Marma Therapy. Currently Eva is in school to become an Ayurvedic Health Counselor at the California College of Ayurveda where she also received her Ayurveda Bodywork training. She started Bindu + Body to help others learn ways to make their health a priority. She also practices guided meditation, dance, and Reiki. Her Dharma is to help others find their inner voice through Yoga and Ayurveda so that their health comes from their body’s own intelligence. Ayurveda is the sister science to yoga, and these two ancient indian traditions have worked side by side for centuries in perfect harmony.Ayurveda is how we become healthy so that when we practice Yoga we have the clarity to connect with our true selves. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti. Peace of the mind, Peace of Speech, & Peach of the Physical Body.
