We’ve trained over 150 yoga teachers through The Om Lounge, and our team has created this next chapter not just for aspiring teachers, but for curious students craving more knowledge and connection.
How It Works:
• Already a 200-Hour RYT? You can enroll in OM Grow for your 300-Hour certification path or for CE credits! Complete 7 modules and program requirements -including community classes, a final thesis, and Seva (service) - to receive your Yoga Alliance–recognized 300-Hour certificate. Graduates of The Om Lounge 200 hour training receive discounted tuition.
• Not a yoga teacher? You’re welcome to take individual modules à la carte—just for the joy of learning.

1. The Principles of Yin & Restorative Yoga

Let’s be honest - we all need time and space to turn inward to let the nervous system rest and reset. With this focused weekend immersion designed to share the art of surrender, you will learn how to lead a restorative and yin while showing up creatively for yourself and others. In this advanced module, we’ll take a look at the differences between restorative and yin yoga — exploring the why - why do we need this practice? why does stillness support mobility?do we stay in the places that provide sensation?
You’ll gain real-world tools and strategies to help you:
• Experience and understand the meditative nature of the practice and how it complements wellness as a whole
• Expand teaching skills that cultivate energetic intricacies within the body
• Learn about the basics of neuroscience and the nervous system to understand how restorative yoga can be beneficial
Whether you want the time to support yourself or the tools to share with your students, this offering will bring confidence in your ability to find the art of surrender. This module is led by Lauren Bursick, RYT 500. With 8 years of practice, 5 years of teaching and 3 years of training assistance, Lauren brings a holistic approach to the methodologies of stillness and the art of surrender to find the grounding necessary in this crazy world.
2. Beyond the Mat: Growth, Inspiration, & Knowledge for Sustaining Your Yoga Teaching

Step into the next phase of your teaching journey with this focused weekend immersion designed to provide growth and inspiration for yoga teachers who have already been teaching and now need to refine their skills. It is time to level up your presentation skills, demystify the intersection between teaching and the business side of yoga, to gain an understanding of professionalism, why your cueing, marketing, speech, etc. actually MATTERS in the way that students view your credibility, and much more! In this advanced module, we’ll take an honest and empowering look at the modern yoga industry — where it is, where it’s going, and how to not just survive but thrive as it evolves and so do you.

This module is led by Suzanne Nagel, founder of The Om Lounge and creator of The Om Lounge Sequencing Method©. With 28 years of practice, 12 years of teaching, and 7 years as a multi-studio owner, Suzanne brings a unique, grounded perspective to teaching yoga. She built her studios and signature teacher trainings from the ground up — starting with no funding, and a lot of grit after a divorce — and grew them into a thriving, authentic community. She knows firsthand what it takes to go beyond the mat and build something that lasts.
3. Advanced Anatomy for Yoga: The Core & The Pelvic Floor

Time and time again we hear it: Engage your core! Don’t hold your breath! Do your kegels! But what’s all the fuss about and am I even doing it right!? Get ready for a deep dive into the anatomy and function of the core, breath, and the pelvic floor - the foundational pillars of healthy movement and function.
During this module, you will learn how to:
• Delve into the nitty gritty anatomy of your abdomen, pelvis, and breath
• Learn how to contract, relax, and stretch your pelvic floor as well as when is the right time to do each
• Gain confidence in integrating quality muscle engagement and movement patterns into your motion both on and off the mat
• Expand your repertoire of language and cues surrounding quality core engagement to help you (and your students!) experience that “aha!” moment
This module is led by Angela Paxton, DPT - an Om Lounge yoga instructor and local Pittsburgh physical therapist. Angela started her journey as a certified anatomy nerd while completing her bachelor’s in exercise physiology and, subsequently, went on to earn her doctorate in physical therapy. Since 2018, she has been practicing as a physical therapist specializing in orthopedics and pelvic health. Her favorite part of her job is educating her patients about their bodies and empowering them to take charge of their own healing journeys.
4. Creative Movement Methodology & The Teacher's Voice
Creative doesn't mean chaotic. Functional doesn't mean boring. This is where they meet.

Get ready to challenge your creativity and sharpen your skills in this vibrant embodied module with the backdrop of stunning Tulum Beach, the place where so much of Suzanne's creative skills have taken shape.: Creative Movement Methodology is a deep dive into understanding functional movement, mobility, and dynamic transitions — without losing clarity or cohesion. Creative doesn't mean chaotic. Functional doesn't mean boring. This is where they meet.
Through the lens of functional movement, mobility, and creative flow design, you’ll learn how to:
• Learn new adaptable sequencing patterns that feel fluid, elevated, and cohesive
• Balance foundational structure with creative expansion
• Layer in dynamic transitions without the feeling of overwhelm
• Upgrade your cueing to be more effective, embodied, and precise
• Strengthen your teaching voice — the way you lead, speak, and hold space
This is about more than just movement — it’s about how you guide it, how you speak to it, and how you connect it back to something deeper. You’ll leave with new sequencing strategies, movement patterns, cueing techniques, and voice clarity — all designed to make your classes more intelligent, impactful, and unmistakably yours.

5. More Than Movement: Yoga Philosophy from the Inside Out
Discover the wisdom that makes yoga more than movement.

Before discovering yoga philosophy, Suzanne—like many practitioners—was deeply impacted by the physical practice but sensed there was something more. Ten years ago, during a training in Los Angeles, she was introduced to the Yoga Sutras, and everything shifted. It was there that her love for yoga philosophy began. She realized yoga wasn’t just movement—it was a profound and practical system for inner transformation, rooted in mindfulness, self-awareness, and well-being.
• Explore the foundational concepts of the Yoga Sutras
• Understand the roots of yoga beyond the physical practice
• Discover how philosophy supports mental and emotional growth
• Learn how to bring ancient wisdom into modern teaching
This module offers students a deeper understanding of the origins of yoga and why its teachings remain powerfully relevant today. Suzanne guides trainees through key philosophical principles in an accessible and inspiring way, helping them integrate these teachings into their personal journey and professional path. Whether students teach in studios, online, or simply wish to deepen their own practice, this module lays the groundwork for living yoga from the inside out.
6. Kundalini Awakening
MAY 30 & 31

Kundalini Yoga uses a combination of postures, breathwork, mudras, mantras, drishti and meditation in order to build strength in the body while providing an energetic boost for the body and mind. Kundalini Yoga is taught in Kriyas, which are sequences of exercises practiced in a specific order for an established length of time.
During this module, you will learn:
• A brief history of Kundalini and the philosophy behind it that supports an understanding of energy
• How a Kundalini practice can support your mind, body and soul in an approachable way that fits into your life
• Guidelines for facilitating a dedicated practice, or sadhana, that includes meditation, asana, pranayama breathing, mantra, and mudra
This module is led by Lauren Bursick, RYT 500. With 8 years of practice, 5 years of teaching and 3 years of training assistance, Lauren brings excitement around the practices of Kundalini and provides opportunities for blending the elements to enhance an existing practice.
7. Intro to Reiki - Embodied Energetics

Reiki offers yoga teachers a direct, embodied way to understand and work with energy — in themselves and in their students. Activate gentle energetic presence through foundational Reiki principles and practice. Stay rooted in the philosophy of Yoga.
During this module, you will learn how to:
• Introduce intuitive chakra flow into daily practice
• Experience a full self-Reiki session with confidence
• Learn lineage-based energy principles and ethics
• Build a foundation for future Reiki levels
Led by Paige Creamer (RYT-200, Reiki Master Teacher), a long-time energy practitioner and Intuitive with a background in chakra-based sequencing, practical Reiki application, and real-world teaching. Paige brings a direct, embodied approach that helps students understand energy work in a way that actually makes sense — and sticks.
