Step into the next phase of your teaching journey with this focused weekend immersion designed to demystify the intersection between teaching and the business side of yoga. In this advanced module, we’ll take an honest and empowering look at the modern yoga industry: where it is, where it’s going, and how to not just survive but thrive as it evolves. You’ll gain real-world tools and strategies to help you:
• Clarify your message and expand your skills

Whether you dream of filling classes, launching offerings, or simply feeling more confident in your role as a teacher in today’s landscape, this weekend will equip you with the insight, language, and structure to grow without compromising your values. This module is led by Suzanne Nagel, founder of The Om Lounge and creator of the Om Lounge Sequencing Method©. With 28 years of practice, 13 years of teaching, and 7+ years as a multi-studio owner, Suzanne brings a unique, grounded perspective to the business of yoga. She built her studios and signature teacher trainings from the ground up starting with no funding, and a lot of grit after a divorce, and grew them into a thriving, authentic community. Suzanne knows firsthand what it takes to go beyond the mat and build something that lasts.

Time and time again we hear it: Engage your core! Don’t hold your breath! Do your kegels! But what’s all the fuss about and am I even doing it right!? Get ready for a deep dive into the anatomy and function of the core, breath, and the pelvic floor - the foundational pillars of healthy movement and function.
During this module, you will learn how to:
• Delve into the nitty gritty anatomy of your abdomen, pelvis, and breath
• Learn how to contract, relax, and stretch your pelvic floor as well as when is the right time to do each
• Gain confidence in integrating quality muscle engagement and movement patterns into your motion both on and off the mat
• Expand your repertoire of language and cues surrounding quality core engagement to help you (and your students!) experience that “aha!” moment
This module is led by Angela Paxton, DPT - an Om Lounge yoga instructor and local Pittsburgh physical therapist. Angela started her journey as a certified anatomy nerd while completing her bachelor’s in exercise physiology and, subsequently, went on to earn her doctorate in physical therapy. Since 2018, she has been practicing as a physical therapist specializing in orthopedics and pelvic health. Her favorite part of her job is educating her patients about their bodies and empowering them to take charge of their own healing journeys.

5. More Than Movement: Yoga Philosophy from the Inside Out

Before discovering yoga philosophy, Suzanne, like many practitioners, was deeply impacted by the physical practice but sensed there was something more. Eleven years ago, during a training in Los Angeles, she was introduced to the Yoga Sutras, and everything shifted. It was there that her love for yoga philosophy began. She realized yoga wasn’t just movement—it was a profound and practical system for inner transformation, rooted in mindfulness, self-awareness, and well-being.
• Explore the foundational concepts of the Yoga Sutras
• Understand the roots of yoga beyond the physical practice
• Discover how philosophy supports mental and emotional growth
• Learn how to bring ancient wisdom into modern teaching
This module offers students a deeper understanding of the origins of yoga and why its teachings remain powerfully relevant today. Suzanne guides trainees through key philosophical principles in an accessible and inspiring way, helping them integrate these teachings into their personal journey and professional path. Whether students teach in studios, online, or simply wish to deepen their own practice, this module lays the groundwork for living yoga from the inside out.
